Digi Bells challenge

So here is my second card for this evening.  This is my newest Elisabeth Bell stamp from Belles and Whistles Stamps.  Isn't she just adorable?  I have been wanting this one since it came out and I finally broke down and ordered it :)  i am entering this into the Digi Bells Challenge.  They have 2 cute new digis from Elisabeth on the Digi Bells DT blog and if you love digis, you should check them out!  So so cute!  So this challenge is a blog hop and a challenge if you so choose to take it, which I did, and it is also a DT call!  I have never entered for a DT call, but I am considering it.  i just don't know if I am good enough.  So, here is the card (finally):

You can't really tell in this picture, but i used stickles on the dragonfly wings and the fairy wings.  This is an easel card.  The challenge was to use 3 papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 image - an EB image of course. 

I used the sketch for July from Graphicat Sketch Challenge.  I am entering this card into their challenge, although I just realized that they have all the papers matted and I did not do that so i hope this is still eligible :)  Going to give it a try.

And as this is an easel card, I am also going to enter this into the Craft Your Days Away Challenge #24 - Fancy Folds.  So that is it.  I keep thinking I will make my posts shorter, but they seem to just get longer.  Sorry about that :)

Summer of Color - Red with Wings

Are you ready for it?  This is the first time I have done more than one project for the Summer of Color Challenge.  This is not actually one of the ideas I had for red this week, but I needed to make a card for my niece's 5th birthday and what better paper than Paper Crate Emma's Shoppe?  I love this card and I hope you will too :)

The sketch I used is from CardPatterns sketch 124 so will be entering this into their challenge this week.

Cute with a Butterfly

Hi all!  I created a card yesterday for the Tickled Pink Stamps challenge #28 - cute with a butterfly.  I used the new stamp Little Lil Lilith - is she not just adorable?  Lilith is probably my all-time favorite of the girls although they keep releasing new ones that are vying for that position LOL.  So here it is: 

Aren't those papers fun?  They are from a Colorbok paper pack.  The mulberry paper I have had for ever.  I have a niece whose birthday we are celebrating this weekend so this card is for her.  The sketch i used is from Pink Ink Sketch Challenge - a brand new challenge blog that just started on July 9th.  This is the first sketch and I love it!  Check it out - wait til you see the DT - talk about a talented group of ladies!  Wow!  This card will also be entered into that challenge of course!

Summer of Color - red

Here is my little red caboose :)  This is in Helper, Utah and sits in an empty lot.  I am not entirely sure of the history of it but as that is a coalmining and railroad town, I imagine it must have some significance.  Maybe not though.  Next time I am there, will have to check it out.  I drew this and then colored it with colored pencils and pastels.   I usually am an oil painter but I was too lazy to get out my paints! 

No wings - but I had several ideas for red this week so if it is allowed, i may do another project with wings.

RAK card for July!

Look at this beautiful card I got from Jacki for July's RAK card.  (sorry i put it in sideways)

This is for the RAK club at Creations by Gill.  This is a great monthly club where we make a card according to the theme for that month and send it to someone else in the club - I am in the states but most of the group is from outside the US so that makes it doubly fun :)  Thanks Jacki - I love my card!

Summer of Color - Brown

Yes, it is another card, but i had so much fun creating this one!  And it is a masculine card to boot - not often that I do that.  This brown challenge was perfect for creating a masculine card.  So here it is:

As usual, the picture doesn't do it justice.  We were to use brown with an extra bonus for adding a shot of color.  I made the little pocket watch charm by stamping the watch on a circle of brown and layering that ring between 3 circles of the same size.  It was really fun.  So, i hope you like this card.

Forgot to mention that i used the sketch from Card Patterns Challenge #123 for this card and will be entering this into that challenge.

another card

This card i made using the sketch from Card patterns challenge 123 and i will be entering into that challenge.
I will also be entering this into the challenge Frosted Designs Friday challenge which was a recipe challenge in which we had to use ribbon, a charm, and pearls or rhinestones. 
I am also entering this into the Palette challenged at Lily Pad Cards. 
So... here is the card:

This is a Tickled Pink Stamp and they have stamps that remind me so much of my girls and then this one looks like me :)  One of these days, I think I will make a collage with all the TPS stamps that look like my girls and myself - that would be fun!

Summer of Color - Yellow

After much messing around in my craftroom, pulling out everything yellow i could find,
(this is not actually all of it),

making selections, putting together 4 small notecards that i was going to put together in a set, deciding I did not like them and pulling out my favorite, i made a card!  Yes another card.  i must be in a card rut.  I feel like my mojo was just not flowing this week.  Next time is brown and as that is one of my favorite colors to craft with, i am hoping it is not so painful. 

Happy Birthday

I made this card for my daughter's birthday.  She will be 17 on Thursday - way too soon :)  Hopefully she will not decided to look at my "lame blog" before then because then this won't be a surprise!  I used the Kellita stamp from TPS - one of my favorites!  Also used the sketch from Everybody-Art-Challenge but then did not link it up soon enough :)  Next time...

I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend - those of you in the states and in Canada :)  The weekend went way too fast for me - worked both Friday and Monday so it was rather short and usual for me.  Went over to my sister's house last night for BBQ and watched fireworks - we can now have some aerial fireworks legally in Utah and we were absolutely surrounded by great fireworks without having to go to Sugarhouse Park (where we usually go) and face the crowds and the traffic.  Very nice and relaxing.  Of course, the kids didn't go - they had to be where the action was (sigh).

This is a card I made tonight for a couple of challenges.  I am only going to link up one tonight though because it is 2:00 in the morning and I am tired, but this challenge ends tomorrow at noon and I don't want to miss it.  So tomorrow I will edit and add the other links.
