September Rak Card

As I have mentioned before, I belong to Gill's RAK club, where a group of us make cards and send them to a different person each month.  We have a theme each month and Gill sends us a name and address at the beginning of each month.  I received this card about a week or so from Sally for September.  The theme this month is autumn colors and this card is so cute!  This is such a fun club to belong to and we get cards from all over - I love that!  Thanks Sally for this adorable card :)

Birthday cards

Hi friends,
Just wanted to post all the cute birthday cards I received from my friends over at Gill's Birthday Club.  I got the first one in August and they have been trickling in.  My mailman has become my new friend :)  So much fun to get so many lovely cards!  Since tomorrow is my birthday, thought I would post these today.  If I missed any or if I get more, will post them at another time.

Aren't they all amazing?  I love every one of them.  This is such a fun club to belong to - people from all over the world sending you special hand-made cards!  What could be better.  At 46 (tomorrow), birthdays have pretty much lost their excitement :0  but this makes it fun again!

Another autumn card

I made another autumn card tonight.  I love that red paper with the leaves on it so much I used it again :)  Also that same leaf stamp from the last autumn card - that is from Stampin Up - an old botanical set.  This is 2 pics of the same card - wanted to show you it is an easel card and then with it closed.  I made the stick pin.  It is kind of hard to tell, but I punched an oak and maple leaves out of metal and attached them to the stick pin.  I also put metal leaves on the stopper part of the easel card - or whatever it is called - you can see them in the top picture.  I hope you like it.  I am entering it into the following challenges:

Link Up Love Party with K Andrew

Fabulous Giveaway at "A Thousand Sheets of Paper"

New browser - personal note

So the other day, I get on to Blogger and I have a message at the top that says my browser no longer supports Blogger.  No surprise there - have been having trouble with Blogger for months.  I have 68 followers (!) but could not see who they were, nor could I see anybody else's followers or follow a new blog :(  So they suggested I try Google Chrome - ok my daughter has heard of this - they use it at school - but I had never heard of it so it was new to me.  It is free to download and what a difference!  I can see all my fabulous followers (eventually I will get to all of you to say hi) and everything is so fast!  Now, I am not getting paid to promote this :)  I just wanted to let you know about it in case you too are having trouble.  I am thrilled.  Now I have been in kind of a funk the last few weeks and have not visited any blogs or joined in on any hops (that tells you right there that I must be sick) but tonight I am making up.  I visited the 50 States Blog Hop - yes all 50 states and it was amazing!  It starts at The Glamorous Side of Scrapping and it is up today and tomorrow I think.  And right now I am visiting Kristal's Welcome Fall Hop which starts at Kristal's Blog Getting Cricky with K Andrews.  You definitely should hop on both of these.  Ok, enough for now I gotta go hop!

This and That

Hi friends,
Wow it has been a while since I posted...  I think I am in a bit of a funk - creatively and just all around.  Have not even been in my craft room for a couple of weeks except to make 1 card that I was commissioned to make (my first one - that should cheer me up).  I have not even joined in on a blog hop - let me tell you that is BIG!  I am addicted to blog hops so there must be something seriously wrong :)  Kids are back in school - Layna is a Senior at Highland High School, Kira is an 8th grader at Clayton Middle School and Louis is at the Salt Lake Community College working on his general eds!  I am getting old :)  I am already thinking about the Clayton musical which I help with every year from January 1 thru the middle of March - not sure what we are doing yet, but have some ideas and they are exciting! 

So let's see...  what have I not posted about that I need to....

Isn't that adorable?  That came from Cheryl and it is just so cute - thanks Cheryl!  I love it :)

Going to the Scrapbook Expo next week so I should get all kinds of inspiration from that!  My mom, daughters, SIL and I go to this every year, usually both in the fall and the spring and it is so much fun - I actually get scrapbooking done which is rare for me. 

Well, better run off and get something done today.  My craft room is a mess and I am going to have to clean it up before I can prepare for the Expo.  Just wanted you all to know that I was still among the living and doing well.
