Finally...

Finally i have been able to upload these other cards i made.  This is the graduation card i made for my "fake niece" Sabrina - album is in post below.  Don't know if i told that story about why she is my fake niece - will have to check back.

This one is for my little sister whose birthday was on May 28th, but i have not seen her yet.  This is a Sweet Pea Stamp - one of my favorites!

Another Sweet Pea stamp - I was looking thru my embellies for something else (can't remember what now) and I ran across these little starfish that i had bought before and i just had to use them right now!  I had already colored this image so i just made her up into a quick Easel card.  Don't know who will get this card...

/Birthday card for my MIL.  This paper is from Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe.  i recently won the entire collection!!!!  I am so excited to have it in my stash - have to have the perfect projects for it you know, i thought this was an appropriate project since I love my MIL to pieces :)

So that is it for now!  My craft room looks like a tornado hit it after I spent the weekend on those albums.  i also made a special card for my nephew who is left today to start his first leg of his deployment to Afghanistan :(  But apparently i did not take a pic of that card.  Anyway, hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today.  Take care and God bless!

More creative endeavors

Whew, that last post was long.  sorry about that.  I will try to make this one shorter :)  just wanted to share some cards i have been working on.  Blogger is giving me fits, or else it is just my computer.  It does not want to let me insert pics.  So i guess this is a really short post and I will have to try again later :O

Catching up - what i have been up to

I have actually been getting into my craft room lately so thought I would share some of the stuff I have been creating.

We have some dear friends who have a daughter that just graduated on Saturday.  They were having an open house yesterday and Heather asked me if I had any ideas on albums as i used to be a Creative Memories consultant.  I did check into CM albums but then i saw a video on making albums from envelopes from Northridge Publishing.  I hope this link gets you there:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFxff2jyNUc  So i decided to make her an album and then Heather says, "well there are 3 girls having the open house together.  do you want to make one for each of them?"  And i of course said yes if I could get it done.  This was last Thursday by the way and the open house was yesterday so that gave me 3 days basically as i shopped on Thursday night.  Anyway, here are some pics of the albums i did:

This pretty black rose i won from Cathie in a recent blog hop.  i also won some more of this Recollections pack of black and white paper which I am thrilled about as i used a ton of an old pack in these albums and it is my favorite paper pack from them.

These were done in their school colors of royal blue, teal and silver and I added black and white elements.  I think i got pretty much all of my supplies from Michaels and some of the ribbon from Wal-Mart.  Some i had in my stash.  i worked on them Friday afternoon until the wee hours of Saturday morning, then for a while on Saturday and on Sunday morning.  But i finished them and the girls loved them (at least they said they did :)

So go check out that link above to see how to make these!  This will definitely not be the last time I make this kind of album.  And of course my daughter who will be a senior next year has already requested one but she wants it now so she can fill it with pics from her senior year :)  Ok, will be back soon to post some cards i have made recently.

Card for TPS Christmas Challenge

Another card I made last night.  This one is for the Tickled Pink Stamps Christmas Challenge for May.  This challenge was to use a tag or tags in some way.  Here she is:

So, what do you think?  Lilith is one of my favorites and I love her santa suit!
I think i will also enter this card into the TPS Challenge #21, which is to use 3 designers papers.

Card for new TPS challenge

Have been making cards all afternoon - having so much fun!  So here is one i made for the new challenge at Tickled Pink Stamps - you have to use at least 3 designer papers.  i was just kind of playing around and distressing like crazy and throwing things together and this is what I came up with:

So... what do you think?  i left Lil Kellita alone as she is printed in green ink that matches that kind of plaid paper.  I crumpled up the blue paper and distressed around the edges and distressed and inked the Kellita paper.  There is also a Paris tag in there that is I won in a raffle - going to post about that another time.  No ribbon on this card !  But i had to have a flower, and that is also a different patterned paper to boot!  Well I must hit the sack but will have more to share tomorrow :)

Second card

My second card is using some of my stamps from Tickled Pink Stamps - some of the new Victorian Steampunk stamps - love these!  Now I have a confession - I made this card originally for last week's challenge which was for vintage colors, but i am still having trouble working out Austrialian timelines so I missed the deadline....  so.... yes you guessed it - i pulled apart my card and distressed it!  i know I am so naughty.  But I like it even better :)  And i have to tell you i am not very good at distressing - i love the look but have not practiced it much.

So here is my card for the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #20 - Distressed challenge:

I love Evie and Luca in their Victorian Steampunk mode - aren't they just adorable?

Well i hope you like my cards.

New cards for challenges

So I have been working on some more cards as time allows - not nearly enough of it :(  I have two cards which i will be entering for some challenges:

i used my Fairy Fond Thoughts from Belles and Whistles for this card.  Isn't she so sweet?  This is for the Shaping up for May challenge over at Belles and Whistles.

I made this card in pink and purple so i could enter into another challenge too:  Creations by Gill - Pink and Lilac and a sketch challenge

Also entering this into Divas by Design - Challenge #2 For the Girls

Sweet pea card

Another card i made this last weekend.  i bought these orange flowers at Michaels and just had to use them :)

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
In a Sweet Pea dream - anything goes
Sir Stampalot Magical Worlds challenge
Make It Monday #35
Paper cutz challenge 89

Mother's Day Cards

I thought i would post a couple of the cards i have made for Mother's Day.  i still have one more to make but I want to enter these into a couple of challenges so thought I better get them in :)

This first one is an easel card and i added a vintage metal flower - I am not sure what this was supposed to be - it had a pin on the back which i sawed off and I get the feeling it was like a bulletin board tack or more likely that it went with some tassel to tie back curtains.  I have several of these and decided this would like good with the flowers on this DP.

This second is also an easel card (i am on a kick with these).  I made the stick pin.

I am entering both of these into the following challenges:

My Craft Spot We Love You Mom challenge
Paper Cutz Challenge #89
Make It Monday
